A V-mount battery is a heavy-duty, rechargeable lithium-ion battery widely used in professional film and television production. It gets its name from the distinctive V-shaped wedge on its back, which allows it to easily slide and “lock” into compatible camera plates, lights, and monitors.

Aside from the main connection, they feature auxiliary ports like D-Tap and USB-C to power accessories simultaneously (monitors, wireless transmitters, or even laptops).

They run continuously until they drain entirely, preventing power fluctuations. Their substantial weight also helps balance front-heavy camera rigs on the shoulder.
